Changing Your Domain Name with PhotoBiz

You can update the domain associated with your PhotoBiz website at any time! To make this change, you’ll just need to reach out to our Support team so we can process your request. This guide walks you through how to submit a domain name change request—plus a helpful checklist of what to do after your domain is updated.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click on black and white question mark icon (PhotoBiz Assistant) on the bottom right of your control panel.

STEP TWO

Scroll down and click to create a support ticket, then use the following selections:

  • Product/Section: Account
  • Subject: Domain & Email
  • Description: Include what you'd like to change your domain name to.

Click send to submit your request.

💡 Important

  • Your new domain must be a valid domain name that you’ve already registered, either through PhotoBiz or a third-party registrar.
  • If your domain is registered with a third party, our domain specialists will provide updated DNS (domain name server) settings for you to apply.

What To Do After Your Domain Is Changed

Changing your domain is a big step—here’s what you might want to do next:

🛠 Reconnect Google reCAPTCHA

Once your domain is changed, you’ll need to reconnect Google reCAPTCHA to your forms so submissions continue working properly.

🔍 Update Google Services

  • Add and verify your new domain in Google Search Console
  • Update your website URL in Google Analytics
  • Re-submit your sitemap under the new domain in Search Console

🌐 Update External Links

If you’ve been featured on blogs, directories, or other websites, try to have your domain updated there. Also update your social media bios, business cards, email signature, and anywhere else your domain appears.

📧 Update Email Settings

If you’re using a custom domain email (like info@yourdomain.com), you may need to:

  • Set up a new mailbox for the new domain
  • Or reconfigure your existing mailbox settings

📣 Announce the Change

Let your audience or clients know! A quick email, blog post, or social post can help:

“We’ve updated our website address! You can now find us at [yournewdomain.com]. Come take a look!”

🔗 Check Internal Links

Make sure links within your site are working correctly—especially if you used full URLs instead of relative paths.

⚙️ Review Third-Party Tools

If you use third-party tools like:

  • Facebook Pixel

  • Email marketing services…you may need to update or re-verify your new domain with those platforms.
