How to Set Up Inventory Tracking in PhotoBiz ECommerce
With PhotoBiz ECommerce, you can easily track the inventory of your products. Stock tracking helps you monitor how many items you have available for sale and prevents customers from purchasing out-of-stock products.
Note: Your PhotoBiz Website package includes up to 1,000 SKUs. If you need more, you can purchase additional SKUs in blocks of 1,000.
STEP ONE
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE from the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
At the top of your ECommerce dashboard, hover over SELL ONLINE and click PRODUCTS from the dropdown menu.
STEP THREE
Click on the name of the product you want to track inventory for.
STEP FOUR
Click the STOCK tab in the product settings.
STEP FIVE
Choose whether your product has multiple options that need individual inventory tracking (like different sizes or colors):
- If your product has no variations, leave the toggle set to No and continue.
- If your product has multiple options (e.g., “Album Cover Color”), switch the toggle to Yes when asked:
“Does this product have multiple options with limited quantities?”
STEP SIX
If you selected Yes, you’ll now be able to:
-
Choose which options (like colors or sizes) should have limited stock.
-
Enter the quantity available for each option.
-
Click Add Line Item after each entry to include it.
-
When finished, click Start Tracking Stock.
⚠️ Note: Each product or option must have a unique SKU number. SKUs will be auto-generated by default, but you can enter your own custom SKUs if you prefer.
CHECKING YOUR INVENTORY
To view stock levels at any time, go to the TRACKING section and click on the STOCK tab. This shows you an overview of quantities available across all products.
WHAT CUSTOMERS SEE
Your online store automatically adjusts product availability based on your inventory:
- The quantity dropdown will only show the number of items in stock.
- If an item is sold out, customers will see “Out of Stock” on the product page.
