How to Track Inventory for Products with Options in PhotoBiz ECommerce

If your products come in different variations—like sizes, colors, or styles—PhotoBiz ECommerce makes it easy to track inventory for each option individually. This helps prevent overselling and ensures customers can only purchase items that are in stock.

Note: Your PhotoBiz Website package includes up to 1,000 SKUs. You can purchase additional SKUs in blocks of 1,000 if needed.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE from the left-side menu.

STEP TWO

At the top of your ECommerce dashboard, hover over SELL ONLINE and click PRODUCTS from the dropdown menu.

STEP THREE

Click on the name of the product you want to track inventory for.

STEP FOUR

Click the STOCK tab in the product settings.

STEP FIVE

Under “Does your product have multiple options, each with limited quantities?”, switch the toggle to Yes.

This enables inventory tracking for individual product variations (like Small, Medium, Large; or Red, Blue, Green).

Important: If this setting is already active, you’ll see your product options with stock tracking fields displayed.

STEP SIX

Define the stock quantities for each product option:

  • Select the specific options (e.g., “Size: Medium”, “Color: Navy”).

  • Enter how many units are available for each.

  • Click Add Line Item to save each entry.

When finished, click Start Tracking Stock.

⚠️ Note: Each product option must have a unique SKU number. SKUs are auto-generated by default, but you can enter your own custom SKUs if preferred.

HOW TO CHECK INVENTORY LEVELS

To view inventory at any time:

  1. Go to the TRACKING section in ECommerce.

  2. Click the STOCK tab to see quantities available for each option across all your products.

WHAT CUSTOMERS WILL SEE

Your store will automatically update based on your inventory settings:

  • Customers will only be able to select quantities that are currently in stock.

  • If a product option sells out, it will be marked "Out of Stock" on the product page.
