To connect your existing domain name to your PhotoBiz site, you need to point your domain name servers to our servers. If you need assistance, you can contact Customer Support at 866-463-7620. We are available Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm EST.

Changing your name servers does not transfer your domain registration. You will need to keep your domain current with your current registrar unless you transfer your domain registration into your PhotoBiz account.

READ THIS IF YOU HAVE BRANDED EMAIL:

  • If you have domain-based email (i.e. info@mydomain.com), please send your email provider's MX records to our Support Team BEFORE you change your name servers (the next step). If you change your name servers before we have your email's MX records set up on our servers, your email will go down. Your email will be restored within 2-24 hours after your MX records have been added to our servers.

Prior to changing your domain name servers, be sure to disable DNSSEC if you have it active on your domain currently as this can prolong the propagation process and cause issues with launching your website with your domain.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

We recommend completing your website layout and design prior to setting up your domain name. During the domain setup process, you'll temporarily lose access to your website builder while the domain updates to point to your PhotoBiz account. This process generally takes 24-48 hours. Once your domain propagates and your SSL encryption goes live, you will regain access to your website builder and content.

Not Sure Who Your Registrar Is?

1. Go to the following link: https://www.misk.com/tools/#whois

2. Type in your domain name, including the .com, .org, .net, etc.

3. Click on "WHOIS."

In the report, look for the "Registrar" option. This will tell you who your domain is registered through.

Note: If you do not recognize your registrar, check for the "Reseller" option. It is common for companies to use a third-party registrar.

Click your provider for instructions:

Don't see your registrar above?

Leave a comment below and we will get it added for you!

IMPORTANT NOTE: After you've updated your domain name servers with your registrar, your PhotoBiz website will be live within 24-48 hours. You'll want to activate your SSL encryption after your PhotoBiz website is live so that your website is secure.

PRO TIP!

If your domain registrar doesn't allow you to change your domain name servers, you can point your domain using A Records.
