How to Sell Fine Art Prints as Products (Without Using Client Galleries)
This article explains how to sell fine art prints directly on your PhotoBiz website using ECommerce Products, without using Client Galleries. This setup is ideal for photographers and artists who want to showcase individual pieces, share the story behind their artwork, and offer multiple sizes, materials, or finishes. Products create a clean, professional shopping experience similar to a traditional online store. By using product options, you can manage flexible pricing without creating multiple product listings.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have the following in place:
-
An active PhotoBiz account
-
At least one merchant or payment method connected
-
Your artwork image files ready to upload
If you have not connected a merchant yet, see How Do I Set Up A New Merchant?
STEP ONE
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
At the top of the screen, hover over SELL ONLINE, then click PRODUCTS from the dropdown menu. This opens your product management area where all ECommerce products are created and maintained.
STEP THREE
Create a new product by clicking the NEW PRODUCT button. This opens the product setup screen where you will define the details of your artwork.
If you plan to sell multiple types of artwork, such as landscapes, portraits, or collections, consider creating Product Categories first. Categories help keep your store organized and make it easier for customers to browse.
STEP FOUR
Add your artwork details.
Enter the following information:
-
Product Name – The title of your artwork
-
Description – The story, inspiration, or details about the piece
-
Price – Set this to $0.00 for now
-
Image Requirement – Leave this blank
Review the additional settings:
-
Charge Tax – Enable if applicable
-
Charge Shipping – Enable if you will be shipping physical prints
-
Additional Shipping Cost – Add if certain prints require extra shipping
-
Active – Turn this on when you are ready for the product to be available
Click CREATE PRODUCT to continue.
STEP FIVE
Upload your artwork images by clicking the IMAGES tab on the left side of the product editor. Upload your main artwork image first. You can also add additional images, such as framed examples, close-up details, or paper texture samples, to help customers visualize the final product.
After uploading an image, you can add a title, description, and alt text by clicking on the image thumbnail in your dashboard.
STEP SIX
Create a print size option.
Click the OPTIONS tab, then click NEW OPTION.
Configure the option as follows:
-
Option Name – For example, “Select Your Print Size”
- Display Price - controls if price is displayed next to print size or only in total amount.
-
Required – Set this to required so a selection must be made
Click SAVE CHANGES.
STEP SEVEN
Add sizes and pricing as sub-options.
Under the option you created, add sub-options for each size or variation:
-
Sub-Option Name – For example, 8x10, 11x14, 16x20
-
Additional Price – The price for that size
-
Text Field (optional) – Enable if you want buyers to add notes
-
Image (optional) – Upload a specific image for that size or finish
Click ADD OPTION to save each sub-option. Repeat for all sizes or styles you offer.
PRO TIP:
Options act as the question, such as “What size would you like?”
Sub-options act as the answers, such as “8x10” or “16x20.”
You can also create additional options for materials, framing, or finishes.
How Pricing Works at Checkout
The final price is calculated dynamically based on customer selections.
The formula is:
Base Price
Example:
Any additional upgrades, such as framing or personalization, are added automatically during checkout. Customers will see the price update live as they make selections.
FINAL STEP
Hide the $0.00 base price from the product display.
To prevent “$0.00” from showing before a size is selected:
- Hover over SETTINGS
- Click GENERAL
- Scroll to When the price of an item is set to $0.00
- Select Hide price until greater than $0.00
- Click SAVE CHANGES
