How to Apply Sales Tax to Shipping in PhotoBiz ECommerce

Overview

If you offer shipping or pickup for your products, you may need to apply sales tax to those shipping charges depending on your local tax requirements. PhotoBiz allows you to control whether sales tax is applied to shipping within each shipping method.

This guide walks you through how to enable sales tax on shipping in your ECommerce settings. By the end, your checkout process will automatically calculate tax on shipping fees based on your existing tax setup.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-hand menu.

STEP TWO

At the top of the ECommerce dashboard, hover over PAYMENT, then select SHIPPING from the dropdown menu.

STEP THREE

Click on an existing shipping method or click the NEW SHIPPING METHOD button to create a new one.

STEP FOUR

Look for the option labeled "Apply Sales Tax to Shipping"
Select YES, then click SAVE CHANGES.

FINAL STEP

Your shipping method will now apply sales tax during checkout.

When a client places an order, sales tax will be calculated on both the product and the shipping fee based on the tax rates you have set up in your account.

Additional Options or Helpful Notes

• Sales tax on shipping is controlled individually for each shipping method
• You can enable or disable this setting depending on the type of delivery option
• This setting works alongside your existing tax lines configured in your ECommerce Taxes section
